I help ethical brand owners and marketers who respect Mother Nature create and implement Marketing Strategies that rock. Think cruelty-free, vegan, organic, biodegradable, plastic-free, Fairtrade, etc.
You Might Say I’m a Dreamer…
When I think about how life should be, I go somewhere else. To a world of healthy choices and opportunities for all animals, humans included. One with no more child labor, sweatshops, animal abuse and testing, pesticides, GMOs and harmful chemicals on the foods, clothes, cosmetics, meds and other products we consume. And a world without poverty and war. Do I believe in fairy dust? Absolutely!
I work with people who respect Mother Nature and everything she looks after. I help companies spread their word and make their products and services easily accessible to all consumers who care.
I also believe that it’s a communal effort. The more we work together, the less demand and acceptance for products that make us and our environment sick and that’s why I can’t do this myself. I need the help of my clients. I need your help to offer these products and services.
I’m a marketer, that’s my chosen career path. I love my work and I’m damn good at it. With my experience, I can connect you with conscious consumers who care and also want to live in a different world. My job is to build up your tribe which will, in turn, generate more sales for you.
What about you?
Do you have a similar vision?
Do you have an awesome product or service that will improve lives and wellbeing?
Do you also want to find more people who share your vision?
Once a Marketer, Always a Marketer
After winning several awards from selling the most Girl Scout cookies in my troop, I decided to go into marketing. Seriously, this is a true story… That was back in the early 80’s when we didn’t have online shops. No, no, I went door to door during the bitter cold upstate New York winters. That may have been a bit insane, but I was determined and energetic and because of that, successful.
I got a lot of empathy and sympathy sales back then and figured out the secret to selling success early on.
During my university years, I began my voiceover career as a DJ at WUSC 90.5 FM, still today one of the most reputable college radio stations in the US. After receiving my marketing degree at The University of South Carolina in 1991, I stayed tuned as a marketing coordinator for an independent record label in Atlanta as well as gained valuable advertising experience with a local newspaper publisher.
I’m a legal alien: I’m an American in Germany
Then I moved to Germany in 1995. I first learned the language, then the culture, then the job market. My first full-time job in Germany started in 1998 as an internet consultant at a fairly large advertising agency. After that, I enhanced my online knowledge by marketing software for two IT companies over the next 13 years.
During this time, I wrote, optimized and translated a LOT of copy as well as spoken into answering machines and microphones for company presentations and films. Anything that had to be done in English was passed over to me. I found my niche as an English Native Speaker in a foreign country.
tunes in and speaks out
To be honest, I have a young daughter and in the beginning of 2013, I had to make a choice. I chose her. I used to spend more time in my office than I did at home and I clearly wasn’t happy. I also wanted to market ethical brands that make positive changes in the world. Although I worked for fantastic companies, no doubt, I didn’t feel my life’s purpose was being realized.
Spending quality time with my family AND helping companies whose values are similar to mine is what makes me happy and fulfilled and it’s why I left the corporate world.
